For 27 years, I worked with both Dumfries and Galloway Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service where I managed the Fire Safety Enforcement Team for 16 of those years. In 2017 I was awarded with a BEng (Hons) in Fire Risk Engineering.
During my time in the Fire and Rescue Service, as well as overseeing all Fire Safety related work including audits, enforcements and prohibitions, I also led fire risk engineering consultations on behalf of the Service, for major building projects including construction of the new Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary and various schools under 'Schools for the Future' project. My role also involved
attending Safety Advisory Groups prior to major events as well as attendance at these events on the day ensuring the safety and wellbeing of those attendees.

Having left the Fire Service, I now offer this vast experience and knowledge in Fire Safety and Fire Risk Engineering to businesses and local communities throughout Dumfries and Galloway, the West of Scotland and further afield. Having encountered countless scenarios in terms of Fire Safety, I am well positioned to provide my clients with the quality of service that they require.
